...any moment of the day. Flowers are blooming, croissants are baking and lovers are smooching. What more could you ask for? Paris is so beautiful this time of year and I wanted to share some pictures that I took on our six hour walk today. Top pic is Pont Neuf Bridge built by Napoleon, a Parisian florist and park on Rue de Richelieu. Time for bed, I'm exhausted

no licking the glass at Harrods, London

Glace Fruits at Harrods London

What's a trip to London without the mandatory Harrods perusal? And true to form, it didn't disappoint. Our main focus were the food halls bursting with colour and tempting morsels. Luckily we went with a full stomach and managed to wrench ourselves away from the pristine produce. Leaving nose prints on the glass displays (also know as 'Pressed Nose Syndrome') is not a good look

The Glace Fruit and Turkish Delights (above) look too good to eat and the Belgian Chocolate (below) made my heart flutter

DSC_0649 H - E - L - L - O London, why do you live so far away? You're more than welcome to visit us in the Southern Hemisphere, anytime. I love you so dearly and I promise that we'll lay out our best china heaped with lamingtons and vegemite sandwiches with a side order of Australian warmth. Tempted? If only.....

After a restless 24 hour flight and countless air miles we finally arrived last Sunday. Viewing the city through bleary eyes we managed to hit the touristy hotspots and London was magnificent. All squeaky clean in readiness for THE wedding and Olympics 2012, the weather was warm and the Thames was sparkling. Fortunately The Mall was still closed to cars that enabled us to meander through the streets that the Royal Wedding entourage travelled. Below is a picture from the hotel we stayed at in London. Cool view eh?

heading to Paris in May

French-travel-books,-patisseries-and-markets-of-paris

That's right....we're heading to the northern hemisphere from May to July for nearly 12 weeks! We're knocking down our little 2 bed, one bathroom (yep only one bathroom between three) cottage to build a much larger, contemporary house. Instead of paying rent in Sydney, why not go to Europe? So exciting

Madly trying to loose weight simply to put it on again as I'm planning to visit many French Patisseries and markets that time will allow. We've bought a few books for inspiration but I have to admit, I'm the type of person who hates to plan too much and am happy to follow my nose

I would love you to join us on our travels come May. Do you want to come too?

Here's some pics from Patisseries of Paris by The Little Bookroom to whet the appetitie:
