stylish customised prints from Ollipop

Did you know that when moving into a new home, hanging artwork is one of the last things that people consider or not do at all? I have to admit that I am one of those people as I'm staring at blank wall right now

In my search for some interesting prints, I recently stumbled across these cool customised designs by Sydney based designer Hayley Pankhania from Ollipop. For $49 there's a lovely selection of illustrations to choose for the home, children's room and even for your pet dog or cat complete with moggy's name. Hayley can even adjust colours to suit a particular colour scheme. So now there's no excuse for naked walls

bid to raise money for Children's Cancer Institute Australia on Bondville

Bondville blog is turning 10! Wow, surely that's equivalent to 50 human years? No mean feat in itself and congratulations Steph, the Editor-in-chief! And to celebrate she's running a super charity auction on Ebay featuring some fabulous Australian based design goodies to benefit the Children's Cancer Institute Australia

Check out what's on offer here. (Totally ignore the Inaluxe prints as I want them)

Mats-Gustafson
I have long admired illustrators who can say so much with a simple stroke of a brush or a line from a pencil. I guess that's why I admire the beautiful works of Mats Gustafson, a fashion illustrator from Sweden. The illustrations look so relaxed but there is very little room for a mistake as each line must be exact. His soft, pastel and feminine watercolour illustrations can be so powerful and impactful with very few strokes

He began his career in the 1970's with high-end fashion magazines that were dominated by photography. His illustrations appeared in British and American Vogue, Marie Claire, New York Times as well as advertising campaigns for Hermes, Tiffany & Co and Yohji Yamamoto. You can see more of Mats Gustafson's work on his website

{go make me} wool felt ball magnets

Felt-balls
Felt-ball-magnets-from-Go-Make-Me-Blog

"This coming year I'm going to be organised". There, I've said it. It must be true. Well, it would be nice for a change

With my desire to be a better organiser of stuff, I have a new squeaky clean whiteboard staring blankly at me, waiting to help me fulfil my dream. I went to hang some current drawings onto it but realised that I didn't have any magnets. Going through my studio, I found some blank wee craft magnets + felt balls + super glue. Glue them together for instant holder-upperers. Awesome.

PS I purchased mine from Spotlight in Australia but there's plenty of great people on Etsy who can supply wool felt balls for you
