Lotus Flower seed pods make fabulous stamps

Lotus seed pods = very cool shapes = very cool stamps

After receiving a stunning flower arrangement last year containing some of these seed pods, I dried them out ...simply by letting them die a natural, slow death.... and they've turned out to be the best stamp complete with their own little handle after the stem has been detached. Grab some brown paper and stamp away (I used foam padding underneath the paper as the pod's surface is uneven). Wrap a gift and add the pod as decoration or use for another stamping day

I love the top photos...don't they look like Martians with hundreds of little eyes?

For My Sweetheart, a diy Valentine's Pillowbox

Printable-Valentines-Pillowbox-template

For Valentine's Day, the best way to a man's heart is to over-extend his waistline. Lavish that tummy with chocolates, macarons and champagne (or perhaps beer) and he'll be all yours. The only dilema is to know when to stop your honey bun's waist developing into a muffin top

Whip-Up blog has asked me to develop a diy Valentines project; a sweetheart pillow box to download and print. Package little organic Chocolate Hearts from Lindsay & Edmunds Handmade Organic Chocolates or Berry Macarons from Cupcakes on Pitt with a glass of Champagne and a side of Michael Buble. Buble, did I really say that? Too smulchy? Probably, but you get the picture (Guess who we're off to see on Valentine's Day? He sings, he's Canadian, he suits-up and does a mean version of 'Mack the Knife')

How-to instructions below. Download Valentines Day Pillowbox

love letters good enough to eat

Romance, love and other icky-lovey-dovey imagery is flying around this blog lately due to the obvious. For those of you who aren't really into VD (that's what my husband calls it), you'll just have to grin and bear it. It will be over soon. Life will go on...

Whether you are love struck or not, you have to admit these biscuits are pretty brilliant. Originating from Sweetapolita blog complete with recipe and how-to instructions making it seem easy peasy to create but I'm not convinced
