Santa softie pattern new at Go Make Me

Santa-Softie-Christmas-decoration-Pattern

Santa loves Christmas and you'll love making Santa. A Go Make Me exclusive design, this Santa Softie DIY pattern is printed onto 100% Certified Organic Cotton with super-easy instructions to make your very own. Use as a cuddly softie (great Chrissy present), a pincushion (ouch!, sorry Santa) or add a ribbon loop and hang from the Christmas tree. No glass bauble breakages here. Too easy...

All you need to complete him are scissors, thread, polyfil (or other stuffing) and half an hour. That's it!

Mrs Claus and fabric Baubles to follow soon!

Halloween recipes, awe at the gore

White chocolate cardamom truffles

Cupcakes 3

bloody brain pannacotta 4-1

Such fun! These Halloween food recipes would look fabulous on the table. I think my favourite would be the Puff Pastry Intestines. I'm not sure I could eat it, but I'm positive the kids would love it! Halloween is just catching on here in Australia, and I'm happy to see everyone getting into the spirit. I'm going to bake a Graveyard Cake (the decoration part is in my head, so I hope it will work) and I'll post pics and recipe when I'm finished

meet the newest member of our family

Sooty

Sooty-1

Sooty-3

We have a new member of the family....'Sooty' was found a few weeks ago in our driveway. We're assuming the little bunny ran away from another family and, after exhaustive searching for the owner, we've decided to keep him. We never intended to grow our bunny brood from one to two but the two rabbits adore each other, cleaning each other's noses on the hour. Everyone needs a friend and how can you resist that little face?

Ditte Isager is such an inspirational photographer. Originally from Denmark, now living in New York, his photography of Noma restaurant (recognized as the third best in the world by the San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurant awards in 2009) has recently been published,  "Noma, Time and Place in Nordic Cuisine" by Phaidon Books. The top three photos are in the book. I love the dark, emotive imagery with absolutely exquisite lighting. The chocolate photograph just makes me want to eat, well, chocolate....

autumn leaves, a free printable and Macaroon recipe

Autumn-leaves-printable-to-download

It's been sometime since a freebie...three free fun Autumn Leaf printables to download! I know it's autumn here in Australia, but I still love those warm Autumn tones. I've been meaning to offer these designs for sometime as they are in keeping the Lil' Hoots printable that has been available from my Go Make Me shop for a while. Here's the link to the download the pdf:

The leaves are quite large so you can keep them the same size and use as table decorations with pretty little Macaroons sitting on top or thread your leaves onto ribbon or twine and make a stunning banner for Halloween. Another option is to reduce and use as gift or favour tags. Curl the top of the leaf over and attach to the stem for a party favor....I'm sure you'll discover different ways to use your printable

Please be aware I've designed these printables out of my own time and energy. I offer these in good faith that you'll only use personally and not commercially print or on-sell. Thanks!
