There's a hint of warmth in the air and Jasmine is snaking its way around backyard fences. Spring. Breathe in the sweet air and rejoice that Summer is on its way. This month's Vogue Australia fashion shoot embodies all things of the season; lace, beauty, blooming flowers and glamour. Ahhhh.... Exquisite photography and styling and of course, the clothes aren't half bad either!

blooming Canberra – a day at Floriade

Blooming-Canberra

Canberra was awash with colourful blooms under a brilliant sun again this year at Floriade. If you have a chance to visit Canberra in the next month, it is well worth a visit. It's on between 11 September to 10 October 2010. In our hectic world, don't forget to take time out to smell the roses, and tulips and hyacinths and...(you get the picture). Here's a few quick snaps from our visit on Sunday

handmade market, canberra

Six in a Row After many attempts to visit Canberra's 'Handmade Markets' we finally made the trip from Sydney and was pleasantly surprised. Beautifully handmade goodies ranging from toys, clothing, jewellery and food that looked more like artwork than a mere sugar fix

I enjoyed talking to stall holders who were so proud of their goods and very passionate about the market. I believe this is not by chance. Founder Julie Nichols carefully curates each craftsperson ensuring each is a perfect fit. And it works!

The Handmade Market is held every quarter with the next market is on Saturday December 4, Kamberra Wine Company on Northbourne Ave, Canberra. Just in time for Christmas shopping!

In future posts, I will be featuring handmade markets with a review and details. My blog will soon be going through a subtle re-vamp and I'll be announcing some exciting new projects coming to fruition soon!
