The skies are literally singing. Swirls of chirpiness infest the gum trees as bursts of colour swoop, glide and play overhead in an energetic frenzy. Rainbow Lorikeet love is all around as their squeaky off-spring loudly imitate Mum and Dad demanding more food NOW. A clucky pair landed on my balcony reassuring their vows of eternal love, till death do they part. They aren't intimidated by hand feeding, as long as your fruit is sweet and juicy. This picture is from last year's Christmas tree that was used as a prop for my stall display. It's simply made from various bound stick lengths in a conical shape. I then strung battery operated lights and luscious strands of white freshwater pearls accompanied by various jewellery pieces that acted as 'decorations'. It really was quite glorious under the balmy Summer evening. I could have sold it several times over. Needless to say, it will be dusted off again for the upcoming silly season
