My original jewelry packaging is a simple, black, pre-purchased cotton filled box that's then hand embellished with my logo and silver ribbon. I still use the packaging for consignments and markets but now that my on-line Etsy shop is in full swing, the box proved too expensive to ship. I've since developed a simple solution that still has that 'handmade' feel using pre-purchased satin bags. I broke open my trusty Gocco screenprinter and simply screened on the logo with cloth ink. So easy to use and a cost effective solution. It took about 2 hours to screen 250 bags...the only problem was a massive backache from bending over and swallowing two anti-inflamatories for relief!
If you're looking for jewelry packaging (or package anything small for that matter) to make yourself, feel free to download my pillow box template with instructions. Just don't break your back doing it!
