After many furrowed brows from friends and family due to a previous post Skiing on Mud where I defaced my photo with a moustache and beard, I thought I might throw some light on my insanity...Firstly, I'm a bit shy to show my face to the world and felt I needed to go somewhat incognito (maybe an enhancement?). Secondly, I have always loved the wit of the Dada/Surrealist artist Marcel Duchamp who 'added' a little hairy growth to Mona Lisa (originally created by Leonardo Da Vinci during the Italian Renaissance). This is a man who made a urinal into a piece of art and named it 'Fountain'. Maybe it's just my weird sense of humour? So get used to it people, if I ever have a picture of me on my blog, it will be 'Duchamped'!
